No matter what the spin is, the reality is the DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz totally worked on behalf of Hillary Clinton to make sure she was the Democratic nominee. WikiLeaks leaked nearly 20,000 emails on Friday from top Democratic National Committee officials, exchanged from January 2015 through May 2016. This is just another confirmation that the political establishment continues to abuse its power.
Many of these emails were definitely not politically correct. Shame on you DNC! The Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Monday apologized to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for internal emails that appeared to show party officials plotting against his presidential bid.
“On behalf of everyone at the DNC, we want to offer a deep and sincere apology to Senator Sanders, his supporters, and the entire Democratic Party for the inexcusable remarks made over email,
These comments do not reflect the values of the DNC or our steadfast commitment to neutrality during the nominating process. The DNC does not — and will not — tolerate disrespectful language exhibited toward our candidates,” it continued.
“Individual staffers have also rightfully apologized for their comments, and the DNC is taking appropriate action to ensure it never happens again.”
In typical Hillary fashion, she has made Debbie Wasserman Schultz an honorary co-chair in her campaign.
Clinton wrote in a statement: “I want to thank my longtime friend Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her leadership of the Democratic National Committee over the past five years. I am grateful to Debbie for getting the Democratic Party to this year’s historic convention in Philadelphia, and I know that this week’s events will be a success thanks to her hard work and leadership. There’s simply no one better at taking the fight to the Republicans than Debbie–which is why I am glad that she has agreed to serve as honorary chair of my campaign’s 50-state program to gain ground and elect Democrats in every part of the country, and will continue to serve as a surrogate for my campaign nationally, in Florida, and in other key states. I look forward to campaigning with Debbie in Florida and helping her in her re-election bid–because as President, I will need fighters like Debbie in Congress who are ready on day one to get to work for the American people.”
Democratic unity is going to be a problem heading into the general election. This Bernie supporter prefers voting for Tump over Clinton!
The bottom line is the political establishment will do and say anything to keep power.
Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely
